Did you know State Tech has the premier welding facility in the Midwest? A new building, 44 brand new Lincoln welders, an industrial size CNC plasma table, and even a robotic welder will assure you are the employer’s choice when you search for a welding job.
Those jobs could be working on pipelines, shipbuilding yards, buildings or bridges, automobile manufacturing and repair, aerospace applications, and thousands of other manufacturing activities.
Our two-year degree is built with the intent to provide you with the advanced welding skills needed to advance in your career. The curriculum is built with student success in mind and provides students with the ability to quickly obtain essential industry certifications. Students are prepared to test for certification as American Welding Society (AWS) SENSE Level I Entry Welders and/or AWS SENSE Level II Advanced Welders.
With input from industry advisers, the curriculum is updated each year to include the latest trends and technologies. Our faculty are expert welders with years of experience and will make sure you will learn everything you need to know. Articulation credit for prior welding classes will depend on specific documentation provided by your high school or area career center.
