If you like making things, are detail oriented, and interesting in a career that is in high demand and has great upward mobility Precision Machining at State Tech may be for you!

Did you know, according to the Manufacturing Institute, over the next decade 3.4 million manufacturing jobs will become available?  Because of a skills gap, up to 2 million of those jobs will stay unfilled.  This program addresses the skills gap!  As a graduate, you could explore numerous job opportunities in modern, clean, state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities.

Our curriculum provides students with the practical experience, knowledge, and proper judgment to plan, prepare, and operate precision machines that make parts from mobile devices to automobiles.  When you graduate you will understand 3D Modeling, computerized post-processing, and CNC setup and operation. Along the way,  you will complete increasingly complex lab projects to develop your skills. Students who successfully complete their Level 1 projects receive National Institute for Metalworking Skills certification.

With 15 Haas CNC machines State Tech is an active member of the Haas Technical Education Center Network.  You will be exposed to manual machining, CNC turning and multi-axis machining centers, computerized precision measurement, rapid prototyping, and even water-jet cutting.
