The Medical Radiologic Technology program prepares students to perform diagnostic x-ray examinations in hospitals, clinics, and imaging centers. This hands-on curriculum equips students with the technical skills needed to succeed in this highly-focused healthcare field.
Students learn how to operate imaging equipment, prepare patients for procedures, use proper radiation protection, and maintain patient confidentiality on campus and at various clinical education sites in Columbia, Fulton, Osage Beach and Jefferson City.
This program equips graduates with technical skills and fundamental principles of patient care valuable to the healthcare industry. Graduates of the program are eligible to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) exam to become registered Radiologic Technologists.
To be considered for the Medical Radiologic Technology program, you must meet these application requirements. Please Note: Clinical sites may not be allowing observers at this time due to COVID-19.
