Do you want to become a Dental Assistant? If so check out State Tech’s Dental Assisting Program.

State Tech’s Dental Assisting Technology program is one of only four training programs in Missouri accredited by the Commission of Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association. This hands-on program equips students with the skills needed to achieve a rewarding career as a Dental Assistant.

Our eleven-month curriculum prepares students for the Certified Dental Assisting exam, a nationally recognized certification offered through the Dental Assisting National Board.

Three distinct dental credentials are:

  1. Nationally “Certified Dental Assistants”
  2. Missouri certified to “Assist in the Administration of and Monitor Nitrous Oxide Analgesia”
  3. Missouri registered “Expanded Function Dental Assistants,” performing broader duties upon delegation from a Missouri licensed dentist.

You will be able to perform a variety of tasks including transferring instruments, mixing restorative materials, taking impressions, providing oral hygiene instruction, performing coronal  polishes, and exposing and evaluating x-rays.

Successful graduates of the program are eligible for Missouri Dental Board approved Expanded Function Dental Assisting (EFDA) permits.

This program starts in July each year!
