Interested in helping others as a Nurse?
If so State Tech’s Nursing program could be perfect for you!
The Associate of Applied Science in Nursing program prepares students for the responsibilities of patient care. This hands-on curriculum equips students with the skills and training required to meet a patient’s needs. The program educates students with knowledge and skills through general education and nursing coursework to apply for the NCLEX-RN to become a registered professional nurse (RN).
The Nursing Program includes clinical sites, such as hospitals, clinics, and long term care facilities within Jefferson City and the surrounding areas. This equips graduates with the technical and personal skills needed to help return patients to satisfying independent lives.
The Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree builds off the fundamental and clinical skills of a License Practical Nurse (LPN) educational program in only three semesters.
Once you successfully pass the licensure examination (NCLEX-PN) to become a Licensed Practical Nurse, you are eligible to apply for the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing program. If you are not yet a Licensed Practical Nurse you can apply to our Practical Nursing program HERE.
Students admitted to the nursing program will focus on critical reasoning, managing patients, nursing interventions and evaluation of nursing care that achieve safe and quality outcomes for patients.
