If knowledge is power, then what’s power knowledge? (If you said a career, we agree!) Our Energy Technology program will prepare you for a career as a plant operator or technician for a variety of power generation energy sources. The curriculum includes instruction in electrical theory and safety, mechanical and fluid power transmission, and power generation equipment and systems.
This will equip you to have career opportunities with employers such as coal and gas fired plants, biodiesel plants, solar and wind power generating facilities.
Energy careers provide a necessary service for our way of life. Careers in the industry are available in every state and encompass a wide variety of jobs, ranging from scientific and technical disciplines to business and administrative positions.
We believe time-on-task has to be part of your education. That means time spent learning from experienced instructors in real-world environments and real-world situations. That’s why the State Tech campus is home to more than 50 labs, an automotive bay, aviation hangar, and 40+ acres of land dedicated to our heavy equipment operations program.
