State Technical College of Missouri has an opening for a full-time instructor to develop and successfully implement a Utility Systems Technician program that will begin in August 2018. Desired start date for this position is January 2018.
Required Qualifications: Minimum three years of experience building and maintaining outside plant communication systems from start to finish including customer connectivity. Demonstrated expertise in underground, buried, and aerial systems; fiber optic placement, splicing, and termination; transmission testing; and acceptance testing. Excellent communication, computer, and interpersonal skills. Bachelor’s degree or willingness to earn one.
Preferred Qualifications: Fiber Optic Association or equivalent certification(s). Training experience. Familiarity with construction of other utility systems.
