State Tech adheres to Missouri Coordinating Board for Higher Education requirements for participation in the dual credit/dual enrollment program. Generally, students in grades 9-12 must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Juniors and seniors who have a cumulative GPA of 2.50-2.99 on a 4.0 scale may be considered. Freshmen must also have a score at or above the ninetieth percentile on the ACT or SAT. All dual credit/dual enrollment students must also meet placement requirements and/or prerequisites for the courses they wish to take and have the approval of a school official and a parent or legal guardian.
Students interested and qualified to enroll in dual credit and/or dual enrollment courses through State Tech will be admitted as non-degree seeking students. The following procedure must be followed to enroll in State Tech dual credit/dual enrollment courses.
Dual credit/dual enrollment admission decisions are based on the current admission policy and are in accordance with the college's standard practices on equal opportunity.
2019-2020 Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment Tuition
Books and Course Materials
Full payment of tuition is due at the time of registration. State Tech accepts payment by check and money order, as well as American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa credit cards. The Payment Form that should accompany the tuition payment may be printed HERE.
Students who wish to register for additional semesters, must have all of their financial obligations to the college paid in full before registering for the following semester.
Questions regarding payments should be directed to the Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment Program Office at dualcredit@statetechmo.edu or (573) 897-5262.
When students apply to State Tech, a letter is sent containing their EagleMail, EagleOnline, and EagleLMS (Moodle) username, temporary password, and Student ID number. These items are sent to the home address listed on the admission application. With these items, students can access their State Tech EagleMail account and can access their courses in EagleLMS (Moodle).
It is extremely important that students check EagleMail several times a week. EagleMail is the college’s official way of contacting students.
For Password and Username recovering assistance call the IT Helpdesk at (573) 897-5200.
Courses may be added throughout the registration period only. Students may withdraw from a class during the first three quarters of the class. Withdrawal during this time will be recorded on the transcript as “WD”. After three quarters of any class, withdrawals and “WD” grades are not allowed, and instructors assign letter grades. Withdrawal dates can be found on the Institutional Calendar on EagleOnline.
To drop a course, a completed Add/Drop Form must be submitted to the Academic Records Office. The Add/Drop Form can be found by accessing EagleOnline or by clicking HERE.
In order to be eligible to receive a 100% refund, courses must be dropped prior to five days after the start of the class. If a course is dropped after the 100% full refund date, the student is responsible for 100% of tuition and fees.
Every school district has different policies in place concerning dual credit/dual enrollment. Students should consult with their counselor or principal before dropping any State Tech courses to ensure that they will still be on track to graduate.
Students should remember that they are enrolled at State Tech through the Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment Program and are considered undergraduate students at State Tech. As such, dual credit/dual enrollment students are expected to take personal responsibility for their education; these responsibilities include payment of fees, meeting deadlines, and observing the College’s rules and regulations found in the Student Handbook and College Catalog.
Upon completion of dual credit courses, instructors will send an official grade sheet to the Academic Records Office, where it is entered into the State Tech system, using a standard 4.0 GPA scale. The grade a student earned in a dual credit or dual enrollment course appears as part of the student's permanent college record and cannot be dropped. After the grades have been posted to the student’s transcripts, they will be available on EagleOnline.
Credit earned at State Tech through the Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment Program is transferable to other colleges and universities according to their respective transfer policies. Not all classes transfer to every college or university. Students are encouraged to contact the Director of Admissions or Registrar at the college or university of their choice for questions regarding acceptance and transferability of credit courses.
To request a State Tech transcript for other institutions, students must complete a Transcript Request Form and submit it to the Academic Records Office. A Transcript Request Form can be found by accessing EagleOnline or by clicking HERE. Students who do not have their student ID number, should write “unknown” on that line and fill in their social security number. The State Tech Academic Records Office’s address and contact information is included on the form. Transcripts are not issued to or for students who have financial obligations to the college until those obligations are paid in full.
The State Tech Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment Program adheres to all FERPA policies. According to ed.gov, "When a student turns 18 years old or enters a postsecondary institution at any age, all rights afforded to you as a parent under FERPA transfer to the student." To learn more about FERPA, please click HERE. In order for other individuals to have access to discuss a student’s academic and/or financial records with college personnel, students must complete the Academic and Financial Information Release section of the Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment Registration and Academic and Financial Information Release Form that is distributed at the time of registration.
Changes to the Academic and Financial Information Release information can be made by submitting an updated Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment Academic and Financial Information Release Form to the Academic Records Office at registrar@statetechmo.edu. The Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment Academic and Financial Information Release Form can be found HERE!

These cards are valid for the duration of the course(s) in which the students are enrolled and will allow the students access to student services (not including the Activity Center) and academic support similar to that afforded to students on the college campus, including, but not limited to advisors, library services, and other resources requisite for college-level academic performance, e.g. State Tech Library and Academic Resource Center.
Free tutoring is offered at State Tech’s Academic Resource Center (ARC) for enrolled State Tech students. Staff members and peer tutors offer both individual and group tutoring for all general education classes.
