The FAFSA will open in December of this year for the 2026-2027 academic year. The FAFSA is completed online at studentaid.gov. More tips and helpful information about completing the FAFSA can be found on Federal Student Aid’s website – Filling Out the FAFSA Form.

State Tech’s priority deadline is April 1, 2027. *Priority Deadline: Generally, you must submit your FAFSA by February 1 each year to meet the priority deadline. Eligible students who apply on or before the priority deadline are guaranteed an award.

At State Tech, our faculty and staff are focused on you and your success. In the Financial Aid Office, we’re here to give you that one-on-one experience to help figure out the best financial assistance options to ensure that success. Paying for college can be overwhelming and, occasionally, scary, but don’t worry. The Financial Aid Team is here for you. When you need assistance in determining the cost of your tuition for your program, understanding which financial aid options are available, or debating on how you’re going to afford tuition or supplies, come see us in the Financial Aid Office in the Information Technology Center or contact us by phone (573-897-5000 option 2) or by email (financialaid@statetechmo.edu) .
