The Activity Center offers students and area residents a great place to play, work out, and unwind. The 72,000 square foot activity center opened its doors in January 2008. The main level includes three regulation size basketball courts, a game room, arcade area, cardio room, snack bar, and locker rooms. The second level has an elevated three lane walking/running track. The lower level of the facility contains a fitness center for weight lifting, cardio, and fitness classes and an indoor archery range. The lower level also serves as a FEMA approved tornado/safe shelter.
Your health and safety is our #1 priority, and we’re committed to keeping the Activity Center safe and clean. For the enhanced safety of our members, guests and team members, masks are now required except while actively working out, and in accordance with local restrictions. This means that a mask must be worn at all times, and in accordance with local restrictions, in the Activity Center (except while actively working out) including when entering and exiting the facility, in between machines and exercises on the gym floor, cleaning equipment, and while in the locker room and NOT behind a private enclosure such as a shower or in a restroom stall. While you are actively working out, you do not need to have a mask on.
Wearing a mask in public is proven to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, and as a leader in Osage County, we are committed to doing everything in our power to ensure the health and safety of our State Tech Community. Thank you in advance for your support and adherence to this policy. This added safety precaution also helps us to remain open to serve you and keep you healthy and active.
In addition, at this time, we will not allow team sports (pick-up basketball/volleyball) until further notice. We hope to reassess team sports after the first three weeks of the Fall semester.
Thank you for helping reduce the spread of COVID-19.
