- Congratulations to Kelly Royston and the Practical Nursing Technology program! The graduating
class of 2018 had a 100 percent pass rate on their licensure exams.
- Ken Niekamp and the Drafting and Design Engineering Technology program received accreditation
through the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) and maintained certification as an
ADDA testing site.
- National SkillsUSA – Twelve State Tech students participated at the National SkillsUSA
competition in Louisville, KY in June 2018. Electronics Engineering Technology student Spencer
Brocksmith received a gold medal, Precision Machining Technology student Trace Nelson received
a silver medal, and bronze medals were received by Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning
Technology student Blaine Feeler and Powersports Technology student Haley Hughes. State Tech
SkillsUSA Advisor Cynthia Cox traveled with the students to the national competition.

- Tom Schwartze, Eric Radmacher and the Welding Technology program have partnered with
Mobility Worldwide to make carts designed to provide mobility for those in greatest need and with
the least resources in poor or underdeveloped countries. Welding Technology students have welded
over 500 hand cranked vehicles to date for this project.
