State Tech Home Builders Association Student Chapter Ranks in National Competition
The Home Builders Association (HBA) student chapter recently placed 4th in the Residential Construction Management Competition (RCMC).
Students attended the RCMC awards presentation at the International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were awarded 4th place for their ability to solve construction-related problems while working on real-life construction projects.
“Our students placed 4th in their third competitive year in the Two-Year Programs level of competition.” said Aaron Kliethermes, State Tech Instructor and Chapter Sponsor. “They have made leaps and bounds toward making our HBA student chapter the best in the nation.”
Student Member, Michael Oetterer of New Haven, Missouri, was also named an Outstanding Student for his excellent grade point average, involvement in the State Tech HBA student chapter, participation with the local Home Builders Association and interest in pursuing a residential building career.
The State Tech HBA student chapter is one of only four student chapters in the state of Missouri. Their goal as a chapter is to place even higher in next year’s Residential Construction Management Competition.
