State Tech students win at national SkillsUSA championship
Four State Technical College of Missouri students, were medalist at the 49th Annual National SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Conference held June 24-28 in Kansas City, Missouri.
For a second year in a row, Jordan Kleffner, Jefferson City, Missouri, brought home a gold medal in Plumbing for State Tech. Kleffner is a recent graduated of the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technology program.
Brock Misner, Frohna, Missouri, also brought home a gold medal in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning for a second year in a row. Misner is a current student in the Industrial Electricity program.
Brady Middlecamp, Jefferson City, Missouri, brought home a silver medal in Electronic Technology. Middlecamp is a current student in the Electronics Engineering Technology program.
Salman Ahmad, Owensville, Missouri, brought home a bronze medal in Internetworking. Ahmad is a recent graduate of the Networking Systems Technology program.

More than 15,000 people, including students, teachers and business partners, participated in the week-long event. State Technical College of Missouri had 20 students participate in the contest.
During the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference, industry leaders representing over a thousand businesses, corporations, trade associations and unions recognized students from all around the country for their demonstrated excellence in more than 90 hands-on occupational and leadership contests.
Linn Sate Technical College is Missouri’s only state technical college. Hands-on technical courses balanced with a strong foundation in communication, problem solving, decision-making and critical thinking prepare graduates for profitable employment and a life of learning.
