State Tech Hosts Conference with Global Appeal
State Technical College of Missouri will host the Caterpillar ThinkBIG Global Conference, May 21-23. Representatives from 21 colleges and universities in ten countries are expected to attend.
The educational conference will focus on best practices for Caterpillar’s prestigious ThinkBIG partnership programs. State Technical College of Missouri’s ThinkBIG program is one of only eleven of its kind in the nation. The program teaches students how to service CAT equipment using cutting-edge diagnostic and maintenance systems, advanced technologies and high-tech tools.
“This biennial conference provides State Tech the opportunity to showcase our exceptional curriculum and facilities,” notes Dr. Donald Claycomb, STC President. “We are privileged to host this year’s event as it highlights the state of Missouri’s continued commitment to postsecondary technical education.”
Conference attendees are set to discuss a variety of topics including program management, CAT Dealer participation and new CAT products during daytime technical workshops. Their evening events are of a social, cultural and educational nature and include a special catered dinner inside the State Capitol.
State Technical College of Missouri is Missouri’s only state technical college. Hands-on technical courses balanced with a strong foundation in communication, problem solving, decision-making and critical thinking prepare graduates for profitable employment and a life of learning.
