Alumnus Jay Stephens to deliver commencement address at State Tech
State Technical College of Missouri alumnus, Jay Stephens, will give the commencement address at the graduation ceremonies Saturday, May 11.
Stephens, a 2002 graduate of the Machine Tool Technology program, is a Productivity Engineer with Sandvik Coromant Company. Mr. Stephens is a certified manufacturing technologist through the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and is an associate member of the St. Louis Chapter for the National Tooling and Machining Association.
On Saturday, Stephens will address State Tech graduates at two ceremonies scheduled at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in the STC Activity Center. Graduates from the Civil Technology and Industrial Technology divisions will be honored at the 10:00 a.m. ceremony and graduates from the Arts and Science, Computer Technology and Transportation Technology divisions will be honored at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony.
State Technical College of Missouri is Missouri’s only state technical college. Hands-on technical courses balanced with a strong foundation in communication, problem solving, decision-making and critical thinking prepare graduates for profitable employment and a life of learning.
