State Tech accepting CPoD summer program applications
For the twelfth year, State Technical College of Missouri is hosting the 2013 session of Computer Professions on Demand (CPoD) program scheduled for June 23-26.
CPoD is a collaborative effort of the Jefferson City Information Technology Coalition, the Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce and State Tech.
CPoD provides 20 high school students the unique opportunity to explore career fields in computer technology. The camp allows the participant to gain hands-on experience and to visit mid-Missouri businesses and state agencies to learn more about the use of information technology systems.
Students selected for the program receive full scholarships to participate and stay on the State Tech campus for the duration of the program.
“CPoD has proven to be an outstanding experience for over 175 students who have participated,” said Kathy Scheulen, Assistant Dean of Enrollment Management. “In addition to learning about information technology, they have also gained leadership experience.”
CPoD applications are due April 1, 2013. If you know of a high school student interested in the CPoD program, please contact Stephanie Scheulen, Enrollment Management Associate for State Tech at 573.897.5282 or email@example.com or visit http://cpod.statetechmo.edu/.
With more than 35 academic programs, State Technical College of Missouri is Missouri’s only public two-year technical college with a statewide mission to prepare students for profitable employment and a life of learning.
