State Tech recognizes Loehner for his service
Rep. Tom Loehner, R-Koeltztown, was recognized by State Tech Technical College for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the college at the STC Fall Advisory Council Meeting.
State Tech President Dr. Donald Claycomb stated the college had greatly benefited from Loehner’s eight years of service in the legislature. “We greatly appreciate his years of service,” said Claycomb. “It’s been an honor to have him representing us in this district.”
Loehner praised business and industry members for serving on State Tech’s Advisory Council. “It’s always amazed me how this school seeks out the input from business and industry so they can tweak their instruction and ensure the students graduating from here are ready for the workplace.”
“You don’t have to guess about the students graduating from State Tech,” commented Loehner. “You know they are going to be top notch employees.”
“It’s a joy to be able to do something that you really love like representing this school,” said Loehner. “It’s also great to be recognized for what you do as well.”
Due to term limits, Loehner is completing his fourth and final term in the House of Representatives for District 112.
With more than 35 academic programs, State Technical College of Missouri is Missouri’s only public two-year technical college with a statewide mission to prepare students for profitable employment and a life of learning.
