State Tech District SkillsUSA Winners

Over 60 students at State Technical College of Missouri are eligible to compete at the 2012 Missouri SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference being hosted at the college on March 29-31. 

State Tech students recently competed at the district level, bringing home more than 80 medals.

“Our students represented State Technical College of Missouri and their respected programs very well at the district contest,” said Aaron Kliethermes, State Tech SkillsUSA Lead Advisor.  “We have increased our members that are attending the state contest and I hope that will continue for the national contest in Kansas City.”

State Tech Central District Post-Secondary Winners

SkillsUSA is a national nonprofit organization serving teachers, high school and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, including health occupations. SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry representatives’, working together to ensure America has a skilled work force. SkillsUSA was formerly known as VICA (Vocational Industrial Clubs of America).
