State Tech alumni to speak at 50th anniversary Lunch & Learn
On March 15, State Technical College of Missouri’s 50th anniversary Lunch & Learn series continues with a special panel of alumni scheduled to speak about their experiences when they attended the college.
According to Fran Stumpf, Director of Library Services, it was important to include a lunch and learn session during the 50th anniversary that allowed alumni to give us a perspective of what it was like to attend State Tech during the earlier years of the college.
“Each panel member attended State Tech in the days when the college was located behind the high school.” said Stumpf. “We’re very pleased to have our alumni take time out of their day and share their experiences with us.”
The alumni on the panel include: Jim Brandon, 1976 Automotive; Janelle Jaegers, 1985 Accounting; John Scheulen, 1976 Aviation; and Robert Scheulen, 1966 Electronics.
The State Tech Library, hosting the Lunch & Learn series, invites the public to bring their lunch and learn more about the early days of State Tech from the college’s alumni.
The presentation will be held in the Vehicle and Power Center, Room 201 from 12:00 p.m. – 12:50 p.m. For further details, contact Stumpf at 573.897.5202.
With more than 35 academic programs, State Technical College of Missouri is Missouri’s only public two-year technical college with a statewide mission to prepare students for profitable employment and a life of learning.
