Luektkemeyer makes visit to State Tech
U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-9) toured State Technical College of Missouri and visited with students and faculty members on Tuesday, October 18.
During his visit, Luetkemeyer presented State Tech President Dr. Donald Claycomb with the official Extension of Remarks that he shared with the House of Representatives on September 22 congratulating the college for 50 years of technical education.
Luetkemeyer’s visit included a tour of the new Vehicle and Power Center visiting with instructors and students in the Powersports Technology program.
Luetkemeyer, a Republican whose 9th Congressional District includes State Tech, applauded the tremendous growth the College has experienced over the last 50 years. “This is a fine campus,” said Luetkemeyer. “It is a great environment for young people to learn.”
With more than 35 programs, State Technical College of Missouri is Missouri’s only public two-year technical college with a statewide mission. STC prepares students for profitable employment and a life of learning. STC has three locations in Linn, Mexico and Jefferson City.
