State Tech to host Mother-Daughter Construction Day
State Technical College of Missouri encourages girls in grades five through seven to explore cool careers in construction for girls.
On Saturday, September 17, 2011, State Tech will host a Mother-Daughter Construction Career Day from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the main campus in Linn, Missouri.
The event promises to deliver a “once in a lifetime” experience for all participants. Mothers and Daughters will learn about construction and technology career fields through hands-on activities and interaction with faculty, staff and industry professionals.
There is a small registration fee of $10 per mother/daughter pair and includes lunch and special gifts. Participants are encouraged to visit the Mother-Daughter Construction Career Day page or call 1-800-743-8324 to learn more about the event.
With more than 35 programs, State Technical College of Missouri is Missouri’s only public two-year technical college with a statewide mission. STC prepares students for profitable employment and a life of learning. STC has three locations in Linn, Mexico and Jefferson City.
