State Tech hosts Merit Badge University
State Technical College of Missouri will host the Boy Scouts Merit Badge University on Saturday, July 30. Boy Scouts throughout the state of Missouri will attend and participate in a Merit Badge University earning one of the 21 merit badges needed to attain the Eagle Rank.
Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday morning. The event will open with a flag ceremony. The Merit Badge University will conclude at 3:30 p.m.
Merit Badges will be offered on a variety of subjects. Merit Badges being offered include: animal science; architecture; automotive maintenance; aviation; citizenship in the community; citizenship in the nation; citizenship in the world; communications; computers; crime prevention; drafting; electricity; electronics; emergency preparedness; engineering; fingerprinting; fire safety; first aid; genealogy; home repair; metalwork; music; nuclear science; personal fitness; public speaking; stamp collecting; and traffic safety.
This is the tenth year that Troop 17 from Linn, Missouri has held the Merit Badge University at State Technical College of Missouri.
