Electronics Engineering alumnus to speak at State Tech commencement
State Technical College of Missouri alumnus, Tom Graves, will give the commencement address at the graduation ceremonies Saturday, May 7. Graves will speak before another record number of students participating in commencement exercises.
Graves graduated from the Electronics Engineering Technology program in 1979 and shortly thereafter became employed with Explorer Pipeline as an electronics repair technician.
Graves has been with Explorer Pipeline for 32 years. Graves has steadily moved up within the ranks of the company holding several technical and management positions. He is currently the area manager of the Glenpool area which reaches from Southern Oklahoma to Springfield, Missouri.
State Tech will once again host two ceremonies on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Graduates from the Civil Technology and Transportation Technology divisions will be honored at the 10:00 a.m. ceremony and graduates from the Arts and Science, Computer Technology and Industrial Technology divisions will be honored at the 2:00 p.m. ceremony.
With more than 35 programs, State Technical College of Missouri is Missouri’s only public two-year technical college with a statewide mission. STC prepares students for profitable employment and a life of learning. STC has three locations in Linn, Mexico and Jefferson City.
