State Tech observes National Career and Technical Education Month
Students and faculty at State Technical College of Missouri are observing Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month throughout the month of February. This year’s theme is CTE: Learning Today, Earning Tomorrow.
State Tech will celebrate by hosting annual job fairs in Linn and Mexico for all current students. The STC Job Fair is scheduled February 9, 2011 at the STC Activity Center. The Advanced Technology Center Job Fair in Mexico is scheduled February 15, 2011.
“State Tech alumni are also encouraged to attend the job fairs in either location if they are seeking employment,” says Glenda Whitney, STC Career Services director. “The college offers free lifetime career services to all graduates of the college.”
Nationally, the month-long celebration of CTE kicks off with National Groundhog Job Shadow Day and concludes with National Entrepreneurship Week USA.
The Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) represents approximately 27,000 teachers, administrators, educators and counselors involved in career and technical education across the United States and abroad.
