State Tech seeks applicants for Daniel Mittenburg Memorial Scholarship
When State Technical College of Missouri student, Daniel Mittenburg, lost his life in a tragic fire on October 8, 2009 in downtown Linn, Missouri, the Machine Tool Technology instructors and students were deeply saddened.
To honor the memory of Mittenburg, the State Technical College of Missouri Machine Tool Club established a memorial scholarship through the Foundation for State Technical College of Missouri.
The $500 academic scholarship is awarded annually to a first-year student pursuing an associate of applied science degree at State Technical College of Missouri. Applicants enrolling in the Machine Tool Technology program receive priority consideration.
Priority consideration is also given to students graduating from Clinton School District in Henry County where Mittenburg graduated from high school. Students that have attended classes at the Clinton Technical School are encouraged to apply.
Over 25 privately sponsored scholarships, including the Daniel Mittenburg Memorial Scholarship, are available to current and prospective students of State Tech through the Foundation for STC.
