Family Members involvement welcomed at State Tech
State Technical College of Missouri is happy to announce the establishment of a Family Advisory Committee.
During the past few years, State Tech has experienced an increase in family members’ involvement in the lives of their students. Recognizing the growing trend of family involvement, the college is viewing family members as partners in ensuring the successful retention and eventual graduation of students.
“Families play a critical role in the success of college students,” said Becky Dunn, Associate Dean of Enrollment Management. “Family members are strongly encouraged to share in the college experience with their students.”
The Family Advisory Committee comprised of parents, guardians, and other interested family members will convene twice a year to provide feedback, support and recommendations to the State Tech faculty and staff.
Parents and family members interested in becoming a member of the Family Advisory Committee are encouraged to contact Stephanie Scheulen, Enrollment Management Associate, at 573.897.5000 or firstname.lastname@example.org
With more than 25 programs, State Technical College of Missouri is Missouri’s only public two-year technical college with a statewide mission. STC has campuses in Linn, Mexico and Jefferson City. STC prepares students for profitable employment and a life of learning.
