Business & Industry Department

The Business and Industry Department supports industry by providing valuable training assistance and services to companies.

The Department assists employers in building a highly-skilled and profitable workforce by facilitating instructional classes customized to meet industry needs and can assist companies in applying for funds through the Missouri Works Customized Training Program.

Contracted Training Opportunities

State Tech can develop personalized training courses to fit your company’s needs. These courses can be held on campus, at your facility, or a combination of both.

Missouri One Start–Customized Training Opportunities

State Tech is an official administrator of the Missouri One Start Customized Training Program  for the State of Missouri. The Missouri One Start assists Missouri employers with costs associated with training and retraining new and existing employees. A skilled workforce is critical in keeping Missouri businesses productive and competitive.

National Career Readiness Certificate

State Tech can provide WorkKeys testing services on campus or at your site. WorkKeys is a job skills assessment system measuring “real world” skills that employers believe are critical to job success. Successful completion of WorkKeys assessments can lead to a National Career Readiness Certificate, an industry recognized credential that validates foundational skills that are important across a range of jobs.

Manufacturing Skill Standards Council Certified Production Technician

The Manufacturing Skill Standards Council Certified Production Technician program is an industry-led training, assessment, and certification system focused on the industry-wide core skills and knowledge needed by industries production workers. Successful candidates can achieve a Certified Production Technician certificate in any or all of five Production modules: Safety; Quality Practices & Measurement; Manufacturing Processes & Production, Maintenance Awareness and Green Production.

ED2GO Classes

State Tech offers effective online continuing education courses through Ed2Go that are affordable and easy to use. These classes are instructor-led by professionals who are top in their field. Registration is easy and with over 200 courses to choose from there is something for everyone.
