The need for employees to have higher levels of computer and business knowledge along with associated skills is growing with the increasing use of technology and organizational restructuring.
Students will develop their skills in information systems, office and project management, accounting, analysis and communication.
The Business Systems Specialist program has a General Option, an Accounting Option, and a Technical Speciality Option in which students can choose to specialize. Graduates will attain the knowledge and skills needed for entry-level positions such as computer support specialist, office manager, administrative services manager, human resources technician, marketing assistant, executive or administrative assistant as well as bookkeeping, accounting, or auditing assistant in a variety of business enterprises, government agencies, and organizations. In addition, the program provides an opportunity for technicians and other skilled workers to benefit from an education in business and management principles.
