Biomedical Engineering Technology

When you think of a hospital, do you think of all the amazing technology at work? So much of the detail and data needed to diagnose each patient comes from biomedical engineering devices. And this critically important technology relies on highly skilled technicians to make sure it’s all working exactly as it should.

Our Biomedical Engineering Technology program prepares you to work with the complex equipment required to monitor and help patients every day. From defibrillators to diagnostic imaging services, biomedical technicians ensure the safety and proper functioning of medical equipment for safe, accurate diagnoses and successful treatment.

According to Money Magazine, “biomedical technician is one of the five best careers you’ve never heard of.” You’ll be able to contribute enormously to positive patient outcomes and be part of an indispensable and well-paid industry.

Our curriculum provides hands-on experience with the equipment, and you’ll have the opportunity for a healthcare-specific internship. For students not seeking a degree, you can also pursue a certificate in Biomedical Equipment Technology.
